DIY lip scrub

Our lips always need care, but when the seasons are changing and the temperature is going down, they specifically need our help. It’s necessary not only to moisturize them, but also make it possible that all the pleasant minerals can be assimilated – lips need a proper exfoliation.

I know that there are some brands that do lip scrubs which smell great and work great. But why spend money if you can have fun making one for yourself? I’m sure that all the ingredients required you already have. And you don’t need much either of the products or you time. This is literately 5min job.

Let’s get down to business. What will you need? Brown sugar, olive oil, honey, mixing ball and a clear pot and 5 min of your precious time.

  • 2 tsp brown sugar (mine look white a bit, cause I had to crush the sugar lumps)
  • 1/2 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp olive oil

Give it a good stir and you are done with a perfect lip scrub.

I usually exfoliate my lips 1-2 times per week, but don’t be over-diligent and make sure you use rich lip balm after that for even better results. I prefer to do in before bed, so that the balm can work miracly during the whole night. In the morning you are waking up with a baby lips. And who doesn’t want that?

Let me know of you try this DIY and whether you like it.
