Who has been on holidays for way too long? ME.
Who missed posting some blog posts? ME.
Who regrets not scheduling enough posts? ME.
Who promises to get back on track? Again ME.
Being an owner of drier hair – even I barely use any heat on my hair (and by barely I mean 10 days out of 365) – I always struggle with nourishing my ends and up-shoulder hair. I own more oils and hair cream than lipsticks, yes, this is how I’m obsessed with taking care of my hair.
Now when I’m on holidays trying to get some tan and have a swim I need to be even more caution about my hair. I’ve generated several rules that help me right now and ones they may help you while you are away.
A little side note – I know everyone says how bad sea salt is for your hair, but for me it acts differently in certain way – my split ends disappear, the hair gets thicker and heavier in a good way. Okay, onto the list.
I’ve recently realized that I’m obsessed with bananas. I know… sounds crazy / bizarre / strange, but it’s true.
It isn’t always a case that a nail polish gets a separate post, but today’s hero deserve it. Amazing color, drugstore price, long-lasting formula, comfy brush – your hands and toes are just begging you in the store to take this baby home.
So… today’s hero is KIKO #278 (bought here) – it’s a pure galaxy – black passed violet with micro glitter of every possible color: blue, red, orange, silver, green… I don’t know, my eyes betray me here. I nothing nothing, but the sparking party.
I have nothing like this is my collection, this is so unique and beautiful and I’m glad I’ve picked this up.
To remove I used an ordinary nail polish remover, it did require more effort than removing cream nail polish, but still nothing too major (just an extra 5 minute song and few more cotton rounds).
I kept on looking at my nails the whole time and I got so many compliments and question about this polish like where what shade – you know the deal.
Have you tried some polishes from KIKO? Do you have some color suggestions I have to buy? Pop them in the comments!
Hello guys. Hope you are having a great time and a wonderful August. Sorry for some scheduling mistakes, I’m currently on holidays and I thought I’ve planned it all but… No one is perfect. I’m sorry if there will be some lack of posts, hope you understand!
Jo Malone colognes are probably the most recognizable and the most desired (apart from Tom Ford maybe?) selective perfumes out there. They have unusual scents, you can layer them for give extra dimension and to open up different notes in each scent. They also do candles, body lotion, hand creams… So if you have a birthday coming soon – this is a perfect place to splurge either for a family / fries or just for lovely you. Like I did…
When you enter the shop you instantly know – you want to have something from Jo Malone. You understand it’s expensive, but everything just attracts you no matter how hard you try to resist. I’ve tried a bunch of scents, I didn’t know exact;y what I was looking for, I’ve just ask for a assistant to help me out. And if you ever get to buy a JM perfume I beg you to ask for a help. They really know what they are selling. They will find exactly what suits you and something you’ll definitely wear. I’ve ask for something fresh and light, but nothing too fruity and florally – I’m so sick and tired of those scents, for me they are too intense and overwhelming.
When I gave a BlackBerry&Bay – online here – a sniff I knew this is the one. There was another scent I liked but it was more wintery and spicy one , but I will come back for you later. Back to blackberry. It’s fresh, it’s easy wear but still sophisticated and interesting scent. You won’t instantly recognize the notes, you just keep exhaling it and enjoy. It has some woody herbal background but with light sweetness of blackberry – it’s both feminine and masculine, sweet and spicy – the perfect mix.
I’ve decided to go for a small bottle just for convenience and try-out purpose. I want to carry it around and I’m sure I will use up this bottle and it won’t be collection dust on my vanity. I love the scent for sure. I don’t regret splurging. I think the pleasure and excitement of using it worth every spent penny.
Do you have a Jo Malone perfume? What’s your favorite scent?
I love August. Though it’s the last month of summer but you still have it – the whole month of sunshine, dresses, beach, sunglasses, cold cocktails and perhaps a vacation. And who won’t enjoy it? This month selection is very self-explanatory: beach essential, a makeup trend, a good old nail art and some randoms per usual. Let’s get nosey?
