REVIEW: REN OMEGA 3 SERUM OIL

Let’s talk skincare.

Today I want to make a quick review I’ve meaning to do for a while. I’ve picked that up several months now and I’ve been using it a lot on and off BUT I’m nearly finished and what’s a better time to review a skincare item then once you can see a bottom?

IMG_2755So… REN Vita Mineral Omega 3 Optimum Skin Oil – it’s very often out of stock on FeelUnique site and for me it’s a good sign. The product must be good if people are emptying the stock, right?

Treat For Cuticles

The best thing you can do for your manicure to look nice (even without a nail polish) is moisturize your cuticle. And there is nothing bad than the look of untidy nails – I don’t know about you but I also pay attentions on peoples’ nails whether it is male or female.

I’m obsessed with moisturizing my nails cause I have a crazy cuticle – it grows very fast, it gets dry very fast (even if I apply oil 24/7) and I constantly have to message something into the cuticle. So I’ve accumulated a ridiculous small amount of care products. Let’s see what I have… (from top moving clockwise)

Hair Care: Beach Edition

Being an owner of drier hair – even I barely use any heat on my hair (and by barely I mean 10 days out of 365) – I always struggle with nourishing my ends and up-shoulder hair. I own more oils and hair cream than lipsticks, yes, this is how I’m obsessed with taking care of my hair.

IMG_2307

Now when I’m on holidays trying to get some tan and have a swim I need to be even more caution about my hair. I’ve generated several rules that help me right now and ones they may help you while you are away.

A little side note – I know everyone says how bad sea salt is for your hair, but for me it acts differently in certain way – my split ends disappear, the hair gets thicker and heavier in a good way. Okay, onto the list.

TravelWithMe: Travel Essentials

The TravelWithMe series aren’t complete with out a post about travel essentials. I didn’t want it to be just beauty related (there are tons of those anyways) – I wanted to include some random bobs and pieces, something that not every one remember about while packing. But they will come very handy, I promise you.

IMG_9590

Caudalie Beauty Elixir. So many people talk about it – half by half have love / hate relationship with this staff. I belong to love part. Cooling, refreshing, awakening mist that help to hydrate the skin during the flight – we know that we get pretty dehydrated, so this is my best friends on board.

NUXE Reve de Miel. This is by far my favorite lip balm. Even putting it overnight I can feel it in the morning. Love it, always carry it with me and plane is not an exception.

Bath and Body Works PocketBac Sanitizing Hand Gel. I never travel with out a hand sanitizer – no matter what brand / scent it has, I just have to have one – I’m a bit lot paranoid about it.

My DIY cuticle oil – couple of days ago I refreshed my treasured bottle. Old Nubar bottle with a pipette – very easy to use, very hydrating, very cheap. Recipe here.

Bioderma Sensibio H2O – Micelle Solution – if I don’t have an early-morning flight, I might have some makeup on my face (tinted moisturizer, a light coat of mascara, wash of eyeshadow, a bit of blush and highlighter), but when I get on the plain I like to get rid of it to travel light.

Kiehl’s Ultimate Strength Hand Salve – this is my all-time favorite hand cream. I raved about it here. If you are on a hunt for a new one I definitely recommend this one!

Compeed Anti-blister Stick – I never travel with out this staff. It’s a liquid plaster. Literally. You don’t need a plaster at all – you spread it over sore area and no rubbing what so ever.

Sephora Silver Universal Atomizer – it is basically a Travalo (I want not btw). I have traveling with huge glass bottle – it’s just better and easier to pour some into atomizer and use on the go. I actually store it in my handbag all the time.

ThisWorks Deep Sleep Stress Less mini. Fragranced oil that calms, relaxes. You put a bit in you wrist, rub it between and it feels like you are in SPA and doing some fancy treatments.

My iPhone – you just need your phone – Instagram, Twitter, some blogs to catch up on, Whatsapp, music, maybe episode or 2 of Vampire Diaries or SATC… yes, cannot wait till going on vacation. Also have my SONY pink headphones – nothing else to say about them, I’m not picky about headphones at all. My choice is always based on appearance. And in order you phone (or any other device for that matter) didn’t die in the middle of the song or movie you just have to have some extra battery for that. My option is – MIPOW Power Tube 2200 portable charger in purple. And let’s pretend I didn’t pick it up just for my favorite color. And there are bunch of colors to choose from and comes with a full pack of adapters for every gadget out there. Gives 4-6 hours of using. Sold to me.

And of course some reading bits. I have a full blog post on that here.

What are your in-flight essentials? Am I missing something?

Hair Power

I’ve been meaning to do that post for a while now. I have collected several products I wanted to share with you guys, but just now came to really sit dow and describe every bit.

If you are keeping up with my blog then you now what condition my hair is in. If you are a new here (welcome and feel yourself like home) then you should know that I have long hair, much on the dryer side and a bit of split ends. So when it comes to hair treatment I’m always choosing something nourishing, hydrating and something that gonna help condition my hair.

IMG_9347

Kerastase Ultimate Elixirhere + on sale! This what has changed my hair noticeably. This is an oil then can be used on dry or damp hair or even as a conditioner on wet. You don’t need much of it – one pump is even enough for my long hair – little goes a long way.

Pure Almond Oil. I’ve read on the internet that it help with split ends. Well I don’t know about it, but it does help with overall appearance, the hair is less dry and more shiny and healthy. I usually apply it heavily overnight and in the morning just shampooing it out. Works great.

Moroccan Oil Hair Treatment – 25ml mini – here. I bought this one to try out. Everyone seems to like this product and apparently it works miracle. I haven’t noticed that much of a difference but if your hair is normal/dry this will do for you. It sinks good (nothing to say about this) and doesn’t feel greasy feeling or anything on the hair. Great for traveling either.

Phyto 9 and Goldwell Serum – two product I’ve revved separately in more details. I think there is no point in blabbing more about them than I’ve already did. Just better you follow the links and read everything yourselves.

John Frieda Perfect Ends Sheer Mist. An affordable piece that helps with split ends. It leaves a pleasant effect – the hair does look more put together and smoother and shinier. Nothing bad to say about it really maybe just there are some better products, but for the price it’s a good one.

Do you have any interesting and helping hair treatments? I’d love to try something new and effective.

Easy-Peasy oil

I’m back on the roll with another post for you.

As the colds approaching my skin gets drier and drier and lacks of hydration. My elbows and knees are my main concern, even moisturizing them on the regular basis doesn’t cure them completely. But I’m close there…

Recently I’ve dig through my care staff and backups and stumble across my new friend – NUXE Huile Prodigieuse. This was bought back in the summer days in Paris. I don’t know why I even stopped using it.

Image

First of all It’s a multi-purpose oil – hands, hair, body, face. Whatever you wish. I found that it’s working best as a body treatment. It’s light-weighted, well-absobing and smells in-cre-di-ble. There are several sizes it comes in – I have both, of course. The bigger one comes with a pump that makes an application very simple. The mini one is … a.k.a. travel-friendly. There is also a shimmery-festive version which I regret not picking up – that would be so handy right now for Christmas parties.

It can be also used as a makeup remover – like any oil and breaks up the makeup in seconds. On the lazy days or no-makeup days it’s a frequent user and hydrates the face the same time – doesn’t irritate the skin or any other of that harsh business.

As a hair treatment it’s not that effective on my dry hair, but my friend with normal hair loves it, it helps her with protecting the ends while using some hot tools. For me this oil acts more as anti-frizz kind of staff – when blow drying my hair and spreading it thought the hair – mostly concentrating on the ends, of course – it smoothes the whole appearance and make the hair more shiny and healthy looking.

Have you tried this oil so far? What is the purpose you are using it for?

Kiehl’s on duty.

When it comes to skincare I just cannot restrain myself. There some many interesting concepts, that it makes me wanna try everything. Actually I’m trying to stick mainly to more organic and natural products because Mother Nature has already invented everything for perfect skin and body / health and mood. So why not embrace it?

With face care I love a good moisture and as far as texture / consistency is concerned I prefer something like serums, light concentrates, oils – something light but yet effective. Honestly I can the feeling of cream that sits like a mask on the skin, doesn’t sink, doesn’t seem to do a thing, just sitting and chilling on my face… not good.

IMG_8937

One of my loves and my best friends during colder times is Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate. This is a pretty famous product and very talked about one. I was really excited to try it for a long time – something that smells nice, hydrates skin, packed with essential oils, spreads easily over the skin – sold. What I also like about Kiehl’s is their price range. It’s not super expensive, I would say it’s quite affordable for the quality you are getting. A lot of staff comes in a glass tubes / containers – for me this is a first sign about the quality and company’s attitude towards customers. It just says luxury only with packaging. Okay, back to product.

Before buying it I went to the store to ask for a sample. If there is a possibility to have a sample I always use ittip here! When I first used it I haven’t noticed any deference, to be honest. BUT the difference was noticed when the sample was used up and I skipped it one day.

When I use it I always wake up with fresher and rested face. Seems like I have a glow from within. I also love mixing to with some of my other face oil – even jojoba oil, argan one may be. You can be really creative here. I also like to mix few drops in my night cream if I’m using one. As you can see it’s a pretty multifunctional buddy.

Will I recommend it? Yes. Have I hooked up some of my friends and family members on it? Definitely. Will I repurchase it? Already did.

Have you tried out that staff yet? What are you thoughts on it?

WEEK HEROES #10

Well, congratulation guys – we made to the 10th post in the series! I cannot believe, that the next HEROES will be in December.

I’m literally confused – no snow, the temperature is above 0, but it’s almost December. Everywhere is Christmas decorations, gift guides (by the way – I’m gonna have a full week dedicated to Christmas – gift guides for HER / HIM, stocking fillers, home decorations, festive nail art and of course makeup look for party – so stay tuned for that, I’m so excited to start those posts!)

Okay, enough for blabbing, let’s move on to products!

Image

Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Cleansing Masque – I’ve already talked about it my Mask Round-up post, it’s a good do it all mask. It clarifies, it smoothes, it renewals. Whenever I feel ‘fallen-apart’ this comes very handy and helpful. You put it on 10-15 min on a cleansed face and then just rinse out with water and you are done!

I love YouTube, I love watching beauty videos / hauls / favorites videos – everything. Lately I’ve been obsessed with Claire Ashley. She has YouTube channel and I spent the whole evening watching her videos! She is adorable, you make up is always flawless and the isn’t afraid to experiment. You should definable check her out! I insist :)

MAC MSF in Soft n Gentle – I love that stuff, I even have a full review on it on my blog here. I’ve been pretty lazy with make this week, so I’ve used it both as an eyeshadow and as an actual highlighter.

Music time. I had this song on repeat for daysMilton – I Can See It In Your Eyes. I don’t know it’s so catching – you just cannot stand still – you have to dance and sing and do everything! I can see it in your eyes, can see it in your smile…

What have you been loving lately? Hope you had a great weekend!

Do-it-all oil

I love me a good oil. I do. There is nothing a good oil cannot heal. Hair? Check. Nails? Check. Face? Check. Dry knees or elbows? Check. I also love multi-purpose bits. And if my both fancies are combined? Well, this is when THIS oil comes in action – 100% Jojoba Oil.

IMG_0149

Hairtake few blobs, warm them up on your hands and apply through ends concentrating mainly on the ends, cause it helps to hydrate them and also seal splitter ones / add few drops to the conditioner you are currently using – this will enhance its power and provide shine

Nails / Cuticlesgently and generously massage oil around the cuticle and over the nail bed

Face / Bodyhelps oily skin girls produce less oil since jojoba oil is the most similar to the properties of human skin oil / works as a great night moisturize for all skin types either used on its own or mixed with regular moisturizer / apply on any dry patches or elbows or knees and overnight they will disappear / can be used as a very effective lip balm – just a thin layer and you will survive the colds / spread all over the body after a shower to keep skin smooth and hydrated / wet cotton pads with a small amount of oil and say good bye to even water-proof makeup

This honestly a great oil and very travel-friendly. Do you see how much space you may save just using the mentioned above techniques in your routine?

Do you have any favorite oils? I’d love to try some more good staff!
